2016 Loudoun Chamber of Commerce Valor Awards

Members of the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad were honored, along with other public safety personnel and citizens of Loudoun County, for their courageous, often lifesaving actions at the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce’s 31st Annual Valor Awards ceremony held on 7 April 2016 at The National Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia. Honorees from Sterling Rescue were amongst the 134 awardees and included:

– Al Pacifico, Assistant Chief (Unit Citation)
– Stephen Schmidt, Lieutenant (Unit Citation)
– Christina Rogers, EMT-E (Unit Citation)
– Mike Stetler, EMT (Unit Citation)

– Jen Ferguson, President (Meritorious Civilian Award)

– Stewart McLaren, Deputy Chief (Lifesaving Award)
– Jason McCandless, EMT-P (Lifesaving Award)
– Alex Apple, FF/EMT (Lifesaving Award)

– Kathleen Harasek, Deputy Chief (Lifesaving Award)
– Scott Maurice, Lieutenant (Lifesaving Award)
– Jenny Anzelmo-Sarles, AEMT (Lifesaving Award)

– David Hartung, Lieutenant (Lifesaving Award)
– Daniel Mehan, Lieutenant (Lifesaving Award)
– Brandon Hollingsworth, EMT (Lifesaving Award)
