SVRS EMT Elisa presented at the Shenandoah Valley EMS Conference on Thursday, March 13. The conference is a joint venture between the Thomas Jefferson EMS Council and the Central Shenandoah EMS Council, and it was held at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville, VA.
Elisa is a recently released EMT on Day Crew and a recent college graduate from the University of Virginia. Elisa was a part of the STAR Program (Supporting Transformative Autism Research) while at UVA and presented on Responding to 911 Calls Involving Children with Autism at the conference. Elisa’s younger brother has autism, and that has fueled her desire to educate others about autism and advocate for those with autism.
Way to go Elisa!
