Our 9th Ambulance Is Running in Sterling Park!

In January 2023, our 9th ambulance, Medic/Ambulance 615 was placed in service and is now running calls in Sterling Park. This state-of-the-art fully-equipped Advance Life Support ambulance represents months of hard work by the Sterling Rescue team and will serve the community for years to come.

The addition of this ambulance is significant.  It acknowledges that Sterling Rescue continues to grow in its service to the community. The 9th ambulance was approved by Loudoun County Fire and Rescue System Chief Johnson and purchased through the County’s CIP (Capital Improvement Program).  The addition of the 9th ambulance will allow Sterling Rescue to continue to provide outstanding service to the community using reliable products that enhance the safety of patients and SVRS members.

The new ambulance is a 2022 Freightliner M2 with a Horton Box built to SVRS specifications.  Features of this vehicle include airbag and rollover protection in the patient compartment and a Stryker powerload system.
