EMS STrong Beyond the call

This past week the officers and members of the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad celebrated National EMS Week and recognized the men and woman who serve their communities 24/7/365. This year’s theme was “EMS Strong – Always in Service”.

Last year, your dedicated community volunteers handled just over 7000 emergency calls, resulting in over 10,000 emergency responses. Our members are “Always in Service” ready to serve the communities that comprise Eastern Loudoun County and the surrounding areas. These highly trained and committed EMS professionals are always there to serve regardless of the time, weather conditions, or situation.

The past week has been a busy one for the officers and members of Sterling Rescue, with our annual Open House at the Dulles Town Center Mall, supporting both the National EMS Memorial ceremony and the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride, emergency services support to the Senior PGA Championship at the Trump National Country Club in Potomac Falls, and responding to over 150 calls for assistance.

We are proud of our over 180 operational and administrative volunteers. Thanks to all of you for what you do day-in and day-out, making Sterling Rescue the vibrant organization that it is. Because of your dedication, you make the communities that comprise our response area a better and safer place to live. EMS Strong – Always in Service!
