On Wednesday, 5 April 2017 at 600am, the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad placed Ambulance (Medic) 635B into service at the Kincora Fire/Rescue Station 635. A state-of-the-art 2016 Horton Model 623 / Freightliner M-2, the unit is equipped with a Stryker “Power Load” cot fastener system, which lifts and lowers the cot into and out of the ambulance, reducing spinal loads, the risk of cumulative trauma injuries, and increasing patient safety.

The Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad operates a fleet of eight ambulances, a heavy rescue squad, a medium technical rescue unit, and numerous support vehicles, all of which are procured with the help of donations from the community. The officers and members of Sterling Rescue thank-you for your continued support.
