On 29 April 2017, the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad simultaneously supported two (2) Public Education events (the Kid’s Club Festival at the Dulles Town Center Mall and the Joshua’s Hands Touch-a-Truck at Dominion High School) and provided “off-road” emergency medical support for the 12-hour North Face Endurance Challenge (which covers Algonkian Regional Park, Great Falls Park, and the Potomac Heritage Trail), in addition to providing its normal weekend staffing of EMS transport and rescue units. During the previous week, Sterling Rescue participated in the Live Well Festival at One Loudoun.

Public events provide Sterling Rescue with a chance to get out into the community we serve to give a better understanding of who we are and what we do on a day-to-day basis, as well as to provide educational opportunities for all involved.

Sterling Rescue thanks everyone who came out to visit (in the 90+ degree heat; and rain on 22 April) and looks forward to seeing you at future events (to include the upcoming PGA Seniors National in Lowes Island, the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, the Downtown Festival at One Loudoun, and the MelaNomore 5K in Cascades).
