Monday, 3 October 2021, saw the end of an era, with the demolition of the Sterling Park Safety Center (Fire/Rescue Station 611/615). Built in the early-1970s, the facility was torn-down to make way for a modern facility. The first day of the demolition process saw the recovery of the bricks from the front of the building, which will be reused as part of the new station.
