Each year, operational members of the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad are required to complete PRIDE training as outlined by Loudoun County Fire and Rescue (LCFR) General Orders. This year’s PRIDE Training has focused on CPR Recertification and High-Performance CPR.
During the months of January and February 2018, members of Sterling Rescue and the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company have been completing 4-hour training sessions at the LCFR Training Center in Leesburg, VA and locally at the Cascades Fire/Rescue Station in Sterling. During the sessions, members are instructed in High-Performance CPR, and go through several scenarios to better understand the new standard. During the month of March, members will participate in drills during duty hours to practice and demonstrate their new skills.
