Sterling Rescue supported the US Park Police and National Park Service during the National Independence Day Parade and fireworks display at the National Mall in Washington, DC on July 4, 2022.

Sterling Rescue fielded three two-person bike teams and a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV), providing first aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) emergency management services to the over 700,000 people enjoying the parade, fireworks and other entertainment. The mobility of the Sterling Rescue teams allowed us to shift our support during the event, from the parage route in the afternoon, to the fireworks display watch areas in the evening, to best support the emergency medical needs of the participants.

Participants were: Chief Kathy Harasek, Special Events Team Lead Erik Hanna, Rick Jackson, Alexandria Meuret, Joe Morganti, Sam Neglia, Yusrah Salah, Carl Schultz, and Mike Seppala.
