On October 30, 2022, Sterling Rescue supported the 47th running of “The People’s Marathon,” providing a Paramedic-staffed Gator Utility Task Vehicle and three two-person bike teams. Sterling Rescue supported Arlington County Fire and Rescue in an effort that draws support from rescue resources throughout Northern Virginia, providing responsive support to the Marine Corps Marathon and demonstrating the region’s ability to operate with multiple jurisdictions in a unified command environment. The event had 11,400 runners and tens of thousands of spectators.

Sterling Rescue participants were Lieutenant Erik Hanna, Special Events Lead; Justin Hill, Matt Kucik, Sarah Lindquist, Al Molina, Sam Neglia, Yusrah Salah, and Alex Venuti.
