On Saturday, January 27, 2024, Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Diana Mann entered a handmade version of a Sterling Rescue ambulance into the First Responder Division Race of Cub Scout Pack 905’s Annual Pinewood Derby. Diana’s model ambulance was awarded first place in this special race, held for models of First Responder vehicles.
The Pinewood Derby was held locally at Our Lady of Hope’s Church Hall in Sterling, VA. Cub Scout Pack 905 is sponsored by Sterling Rescue’s partner organization, Sterling Volunteer Fire Company.
