This weekend, SVRS assisted in the 48th Annual Marine Corp Marathon. We have provided support for Arlington County with this event since 1995. This year there were 30,000 runners for the event!

Our team arrives at 3am and remains in place until 6pm after the event. This year, we deployed the Special Events Team, which included two EMS professionals on bikes and EMS professionals in our UTV. We are very pleased to report that there were no significant events that occurred at the marathon this year.

Joining SVRS in support of this effort were units and personnel from Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue Department and Purcellville Rescue Squad.
