Please come see us in our brand new station during SterlingFest, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 11 am to 5 pm. The station is located at 104 Commerce Street, Sterling, VA 20164. It is immediately adjacent to the main SterlingFest event area, and an easy walk from the event site.
Our new Rescue Station 15 is entirely brand new and replaces the former station, which served the community since 1971. This will be the first time that the new station has been opened to the public.
During SterlingFest, we will have displays that show “A Day in the Life of Sterling Rescue,” highlighting our Advanced Life Support rescue capabilities– and how we operate, live and train in the new station. This will be great for adults and children alike. See a real fire pole! Members of Sterling Rescue will be on hand to share their knowledge, experience and to just say “hi.”
Want to join a great team and work at this brand new station? Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad currently has openings for both operational and administrative volunteers. The operational volunteers serve as first responders, delivering emergency medical support to the community. The administrative volunteers perform a variety of support roles in areas such as recruiting, membership support, and business operations. No experience is required, and training is provided. See the Join section of this web site for more details on the requirements, expectations, and benefits. Come join us!
